I have always been fascinated by rocks, their formations in particular, as I have learned more about Geology. I am continually looking for other information as well as the obvious pictorial. It's the rocks, and their shapes, that interests me, together with the colours and the history, expressing the seemingly permanant coupled with erosion.
I’m hugely interested in the natural world but realise the strength of photography in some cases; I hope to be explaining other factors, probably by exclusion and simplification, but there is also the image making factor in all this, the painting and if it works....
My move to the World Heritage Site, The Jurassic Coast, was a revelation to me. Now I add another revelation in the rocks South Western USA. I hope you enjoy the images and please contact me if you have any enquiries regarding my work.
