I am now also specializing in these prints of various plants, plants from the wayside (weeds?!) and garden plants as they grow.
I started using this technique of essentially photo-reduction on returning from a trip with a very nice image of an aloe. As I contemplated actually painting it’s portrait it occurred to me that I could work on the actual photograph - the result is in wayside plants and I’ve gone on from there!
The Seasons series came from me exploring digitally redrawing the restored Cosmati pavement in Westminster Abbey. Using seasonal images – all my own! – and the five Platonic solids seemed appropriate………..
